The outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is a recurring headline of the current news cycle and has been a topic of discussion in the lead-up to this month’s meeting. Given the additional and cost logistics around this month’s special events and the still relatively low risk in the US, we are proceeding with the meeting – albeit likely with an abbreviated agenda. That said, please keep in mind the common sense health guidelines one should be observing during an active flu season in any case: • Do not come to the meeting if you feel under the weather at all, are coughing / sneezing, or are at risk. • Do not come to the meeting if you think you may have been exposed – which should apply to more than just BAM! • Wash your hands thoroughly • Cover your mouth if you do cough or sneeze, then repeat #3 • Best to skip the handshakes and hugs for now, even though we have people who deserve them. We will advise via e-mail and on the site if anything occurs to change these plans. We are also checking in on the possibility of offering a videoconference this time, though this is unlikely.
